Yapi Kredi Bank Annual Fee Complaint From Long-Term Customer

For approximately 35 years, I have been a loyal customer using all types of banking services with your bank, including domestic and international transactions, supplementary cards, and my payroll account. Despite this long-standing relationship, being treated this way over $42 and being offered negotiation options such as a 50% refund or 75% refund—practices that I understand have no clear legal basis—has deeply disappointed me and, frankly, made me feel disrespected.
On February 20, 2026, an annual credit card fee of $42 was charged to my Yapı Kredi credit card. I had never previously been charged an annual card fee, so seeing this amount on my statement was extremely disappointing. After noticing the charge, I contacted the bank to dispute it. However, because I was so upset by the way the matter was handled, I decided to cancel both my primary credit card and my supplementary cards.
Despite canceling the cards, I do not accept the imposition of this annual fee, which I believe is unjust. I request a full refund of the $42 annual card fee and the reinstatement of my primary and supplementary credit cards under the same terms and credit limits as before.
