Vakıfbank Worldcard Annual Fee Refund Request And Cancellation Issue
I have been using my VakıfBank Worldcard for a long time, and on 17.11.2025 a ₺699 card fee was charged to my statement. Last year, a discount was applied for the fee, but this year I am requesting a full refund. I contacted customer service to cancel the card fee, but they said it could only be removed if I committed to spending ₺5,000 per month for six months. I did not accept this condition and want the fee refunded in full and unconditionally. The last four digits of my card are 9782, and my account is linked to the Sakarya branch. As a long-time customer, I request that the card fee be refunded to me without any conditions. Otherwise, under the Consumer Protection Law No. 6502, since there was no negotiation or consent indicating that I accepted a card with an annual fee, I request a full refund of this charge. If not, I will exercise my legal rights and file a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Board.
