Yamaha R3 Motorcycle Clutch Noise
On August 17, 2024, I purchased a Yamaha R3 motorcycle. After completing all the necessary paperwork and taking it for my first ride, I noticed a "tak tak" noise coming from the clutch area while idling. The noise would stop when I revved the engine.
I returned to the dealership within 30 minutes, where they told me the noise was normal. They started another R3 for comparison, and it became clear that the noise in my bike was not present in the other one. I was then advised to leave my bike at the service center. The next day, they called me back, opened the clutch cover, and claimed they found no issues, attempting to return the bike to me. However, when I asked them to start the engine again before accepting it, we noticed the noise had disappeared.
If there was no issue with my bike, why was the clutch area opened, and why did the noise stop afterward? Alternatively, if there was a problem, why are they claiming no repairs were needed? When I refused to accept the motorcycle in this condition, the dealership threatened me, saying, "You can take this issue wherever you want, but if you don't pick up your bike, you'll be charged for parking." This was an attempt to force me to accept the bike.
Currently, the motorcycle is still at the dealership, and I have initiated the necessary legal proceedings.
