I'm a Yamaha Tracer 900 user, and initially, my bike was making a slight noise when cold, but it would stop once the engine reached 40 degrees. I took it to Yamaha Premium service, where I was told it would take 10 days to inspect. They said if I had them repair the issue, they wouldn't charge for the diagnosis, but if not, there would be a diagnostic fee of ₺1,728 per hour. My bike has been at the service center for about a week now.
I received a call from the service representative listing numerous checks: clutch, valves, chain, clutch basket—each with an additional charge. They’ll likely find the issue during this process. However, if it were a valve problem, the noise would be more noticeable when the engine warms up, not disappear. My bike's noise stops when it reaches 40 degrees, which doesn’t align with a valve issue. Also, the noise isn’t related to the clutch, which is a known problem with the 09 series' clutch basket.
In summary, they seem to be creating unnecessary charges without resolving the actual issue, and now they’re quoting me ₺30,000 for labor alone, plus parts. This is unacceptable. The consultant has been very disrespectful and couldn't even specify the exact problem when asked. I'm very dissatisfied, especially since these issues started after using Yamaha's Yamalube oil. I promptly removed my bike from their service center. Anyone in their right mind wouldn't leave their motorcycle there. I am extremely unhappy with the service and request a proper resolution from Yamaha.
