WPS Office Charged Me $16 After a Free Trial With No Reminder
I started using the WPS Office Android app with a 3-day free trial to help with my student-related work. I forgot to cancel the trial at the end, and because I did not receive any email, SMS, or other reminder about the trial ending, an annual charge of $16 was made to my credit card on January 2. Unlike many other apps that send reminders before a free trial ends, WPS Office provided no such notification, which caught me off guard and seriously strained my budget as a student.
The payment was most likely processed through Google Play using the email address linked to my Google account. The transaction details are clearly visible on my credit card statement and in my bank’s records. As soon as I noticed the charge, I immediately canceled the subscription myself. Despite this, I contacted WPS Office support by email on January 2, explained the situation, and requested both subscription cancellation and a refund, but I have not received any response so far.
Because I am a student and this charge has placed a burden on my finances, I request that the $16 annual subscription fee be fully refunded, and that my canceled subscription be completely terminated. I also ask that my email request receive a clear and official response, and that users be clearly notified before free trials end to prevent similar situations in the future.
Thank you
