WMF Pepper and Salt Grinder Rusted After 6 Months of Use

I bought a WMF pepper and salt grinder from the WMF store in 2021, but I didn't start using it until 2023. Within a mere 6 months of usage, the surface started showing signs of rust. Upon contacting Seb Group regarding a return, they promptly informed me that the return period spans a generous 2 years. However, they only provided me with a 35% discount code as a resolution. Nevertheless, the product is promoted on their website with a 10-year warranty. Even after sending the company the necessary screenshot, I haven't received a response for several days. The company is failing to fulfill their commitment of providing a 10-year warranty for the product!
