I Received a WhatsApp Video Call from a +237 Cameroon Number

On October 14, 2025, at 11:10 a.m., I received a video call via WhatsApp from a +237 (Cameroon) number on my Samsung Galaxy A35 device. I have no personal or business connection with that country, and the call made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I immediately blocked the number.

I want to clearly state that if my account information, phone number, private messages, photos, or personal data are ever used without authorization — including being used to open a company, make purchases, or create financial obligations in my name — I will not accept any responsibility. I believe WhatsApp holds full responsibility for ensuring the safety of its users.

My account already has two-step verification enabled, and I haven’t received any security alerts or unusual activity notifications. However, I request that WhatsApp take the necessary steps to prevent further calls from foreign or unknown numbers and strengthen protections to stop such incidents from recurring.
