I Got a Suspicious WhatsApp Call from a +222 Number

Today I received a strange and unsolicited WhatsApp call from the number +22220964207. After searching online, I found that the +222 country code belongs to Mauritania—a country with which I have absolutely no personal or business relationship. This unexpected call was extremely disturbing and made me feel unsafe. I have already blocked the number, but that alone doesn’t resolve the deeper concern.

I am officially stating that I do not authorize the use of my phone number or personal data for any purpose. If my WhatsApp account, private messages, photos, or any other sensitive information are accessed or misused—if someone opens a business, makes purchases, or takes out debt in my name—I will not accept any responsibility.

All legal and ethical responsibility lies with WhatsApp for ensuring the security of my data. I expect WhatsApp to investigate this suspicious activity immediately and implement stronger protections to prevent unauthorized access and suspicious international calls.
