Vinted Removed Safe Skirt and Kids’ Listings as Unsafe Items
Today at around 8 p.m. Vinted removed four of my listings, stating that they contained “potentially unsafe items” supposedly in violation of the Catalog Rules. The affected listings included a women’s skirt and several baby/kids’ items such as toys, which are ordinary, safe products. The message I received said that the details on my listings indicated they were on Vinted’s list of unsafe items that are not allowed to be sold, which is not accurate in this case. This is part of an ongoing issue, and the removals are unjustified and damaging to my ability to use the platform properly. I have already contacted Vinted support through the app, provided the necessary information and screenshots, and followed the appeal process, but my case is still pending and I have only been informed of a response window of 120 hours. So far I have not received a clear explanation of what exactly is considered unsafe about these normal, everyday items. I request that Vinted urgently review this decision, restore all four removed listings, and provide a proper explanation of how these items were classified as unsafe. I also expect an apology for the inconvenience caused and a careful review of the safety filters or algorithm that triggered this removal, so that similar unjustified removals do not happen again.
