I have a UPS package that requires a personal signature, but I can't do it personally. Would leaving a note with a signature work?

UPS Signature Required" requires a physical signature from the package recipient to prove delivery. This service is used for valuable or sensitive shipments to ensure delivery to the intended recipient or an authorized representative.
Unfortunately, leaving a note with a signature will not suffice for a UPS package requiring a personal signature. UPS drivers must obtain a physical signature from an adult present at the delivery site. This protocol is in place to prevent fraud and ensure accurate package delivery.
However, if you create a UPS MyChoice account you may add the package to your list of authorized releases grant UPS permission to release the package without a signature. You can also contact UPS customer service and request that the package be released without requiring a signature.
If you are unable to be present at home to provide the necessary signature for the package, you have other options:
• Arrange to have the package delivered to a neighbor or friend who will be present to sign for it.
• Choose to have the package held at a UPS facility for pickup.
