I had a shipment within Ankara sent via UPS, and on the morning of 08:30, I updated the delivery address directly through the system. The system confirmed the update and gave no warning about any restrictions or special procedures. Despite this, my package was still delivered to the old address instead of the new one I had entered.
When I contacted UPS customer service, I was told that because the package contained a passport, a different procedure applied and the address change was invalid. However, this was never communicated at the time I updated the address. If the system allowed me to enter a new address, why was it ignored? When I asked this question, the representative repeated that the correction had to come from the sender, without offering any real solution.
This lack of transparency caused serious inconvenience for me. If such restrictions exist for sensitive documents, the system should block address changes or at least notify the customer clearly.
I request that UPS immediately deliver my package (tracking number: 1Z1V44386810277711) to the updated address I provided. I also urge UPS to fix this flaw in their system so that customers are not misled into thinking their address updates are valid when they are not.
