After putting almost $4,000 worth of bitcoin into my account, Upbit gave me a horrible experience. Shortly following the deposit, so-called "compliance checks" pertaining to financial constraints froze the money. To confirm and access my money, they insisted on an excessive volume of documentation including several administrative papers and screenshots of past transactions. The procedure stretched on for more than a week without any resolution, despite offering what they asked for. My bitcoin lost around 25% of value throughout this period, costing me almost $25,000. Their delayed and ineffective customer service left me in uncertainty with no clear solutions. This has been quite annoying, hence I would advise against Upbit to anyone.
