I Face Assassin’s Creed Origins Activation Error on Ubisoft After Steam Gift

I received Assassin’s Creed Origins as a gift from a friend on Steam, but I had previously purchased and refunded the same game after playing it for 49 minutes. Now that I’ve repurchased it, every time I try to launch the game through Ubisoft Connect, I keep getting a prompt asking for an activation key.
I’m sure I’m logging into the correct Ubisoft account (username: Mustafa214726) because when I sign in on Ubisoft’s website, I can still see my play history from when I originally played the game for about an hour. However, inside the Ubisoft Connect launcher, only Assassin’s Creed II shows up — Assassin’s Creed Origins is missing completely.
I’ve been trying to resolve this for about an hour and a half. I reached out to both Steam and Ubisoft support, but both directed me to automated help responses, and I couldn’t get any real assistance. Since the game was a gift, I can’t request a refund through Steam, which means both my money and time have been wasted.
I’m signing in with Steam ID: 76561199186397434 on a Windows 11 PC.
I’m requesting that Ubisoft restore my access to Assassin’s Creed Origins and fix the activation issue as soon as possible.
