On April 11, 2026, around 12:55 PM, I requested an Uber ride from Sokullu Street in Kadıköy, Istanbul to Dent Group Kids on Bağdat Avenue. Normally, this route costs between $11–$13, but for this ongoing trip, the app is showing a fare exceeding $16.
I believe the issue is not caused by the driver but by the Uber app itself, which generated an unnecessarily extended route. Since the app displayed a longer route, the driver followed it, stating, “I am going by the route shown in the application.” I also have a screenshot of the route as evidence.
I request that this excessive charge caused by the unnecessarily extended route be reviewed, that the fare for this trip be adjusted to a reasonable level, and that Uber reevaluate its route and pricing algorithm to prevent similar issues in the future.
