Turkish Airlines refused to refund for the Cancellation Caused by Covid-19
Due to my positive Covid-19 test, THY did not refund the price difference for the mandatory change.
As E*** K****, I found out on December 8, 2023, that I tested positive for Covid-19 and therefore had to postpone my flight ticket (from Nice to Ankara) scheduled for the morning of December 9 within less than 24 hours. I contacted THY to share this situation and request flexibility.
However, they refused to refund the price difference of 123 EUR that occurred during the change (even though I had provided them with my PCR test result and the original and new ticket dates through feedback). I believe this refusal is not only a financial issue but also puts everyone's health at risk.
Despite informing them that I tested positive for Covid-19, I think you are endangering others' health by not showing the necessary flexibility. This situation not only causes financial harm but also risks public health in general.
Postponing my travel plans was an unexpected situation, and facing additional costs under the current conditions was quite challenging for me. I kindly request you to be as solution-oriented as possible and assist in refunding the price difference of 123 EUR.
