As a person with a walking disability who uses a wheelchair, I visited the THY sales office in Ankara on December 28, 2023, to make an international flight reservation. However, I wish I hadn't gone. Let me explain what I experienced step by step. Despite having a large parking lot in front, parking is not allowed even for a short time because it is said to belong to the building. Anyway, after struggling to park on the street and trying to get inside, I had to go up a broken ramp at the entrance, and since my elderly mother couldn't manage, the security guard kindly helped. When we got inside, it was empty, so it was my turn immediately. I went to the counter when my number was called and explained my situation; however, the lady assisting me couldn't handle it and asked for help from the man next to her. The process continued on his computer. But the counter was so high that neither could they see me nor I them. Therefore, I had to raise my voice to answer their questions so they could understand me. Meanwhile, these people were so rude that they didn't bother to stand up and look at me or make the situation easier. They kept asking questions like, 'What did you say? I didn't catch the last letter?' which made me shout even more. At one point, the person I was talking to received a call from a colleague at another counter, and they were probably mocking me over the phone because they were laughing, which was extremely disrespectful. As a long-time THY customer who has used this office for years, I noticed that the previous staff had retired and the special low counter for disabled people at the entrance was not being used. I both felt and saw a decline in quality. This is the first time I've encountered such rude and insensitive people, and I believe that individuals like this do not suit a brand like THY. Words fail me; you have to experience it yourself to understand what I mean.
