I purchased a Turkish Airlines Prime Fly ticket, advertised as changeable, assuming I could simply open the ticket and provide a new date within a year without penalty. However, I was shocked to learn that if I don’t give a placeholder date right away, I’ll be charged a $140 fee per flight! This was never clearly explained to me when I bought the ticket.
