Turkcell Internet Speed Problem – Poor Mobile Data Despite High Prices

For the past two years, Turkcell has been charging high monthly fees for poor-quality service, bad communication, and unreliable internet, yet they have not found a solution to this issue. The speed test results I get using mobile data in the Karşıyaka Aksoy neighborhood are as poor as shown in the images.

Instead of constantly promoting 5G and misleading customers, it would be better if Turkcell focused on strengthening infrastructure in problematic areas, considering the high amounts they charge their users every month. At the first opportunity, I will switch to a service provider that values its customers and responds to their needs.

I have been using a Turkcell postpaid line for many years. For about two years now I have been experiencing a serious network problem at my home in Aksoy Neighborhood, Karşıyaka, İzmir. Most of the time my phone cannot be reached inside my house, I cannot even make voice calls. The quality of the cellular data connection is so poor that most of the time it feels like there is almost no internet at all, and I cannot even complete a speed test.

During this period I have talked to Turkcell customer service repeatedly and have filed many complaint records. However, each time I received evasive answers that sidestepped the issues instead of addressing them directly, and I was told that no reinforcement or renewal work is planned for my area. Although they implicitly acknowledge the existence of the problem, no concrete solution has been offered to date.

I want to use the service I pay a high price for each month without problems, especially at home. Being able to make normal calls and connect to the internet with my mobile phone while I am at home is my most basic right. If Turkcell cannot provide this service, I demand a refund of the unjustly charged bills for the service I have not received for a long time. Either the network problem in my area is permanently resolved, or the fees for the unusable service are refunded to me.

It's been almost a month since I filed the complaint, and no one calls or asks anything. As I mentioned in my complaint, they not only fail to provide any solution, they don't even have the decency to respond. Wishing you sink as soon as possible 🤲🏼
