Trip.com Hides Transit Visa Requirement Until After Flight Payment

I purchased an 8:20 AM flight to London with a layover in Rotterdam for September 1 through Trip.com. After successfully completing the payment process, a notification appeared stating that a transit visa is required for the Rotterdam layover. Because this critical information surfaced only after payment, I am now unable to use the ticket since I do not have a Schengen visa.

If the visa requirement for the Rotterdam layover had been clearly, explicitly, and prominently stated before payment, I absolutely would not have bought this ticket. Disclosing such a crucial visa condition after taking the payment is both misleading and severely detrimental to the consumer.

I demand that Trip.com take responsibility for making this sale without adequately informing the user, cancel my ticket without any deductions, and issue a full refund for the amount I paid. I have the payment records and my correspondence with Trip.com, which I can share if necessary. I request that this unfair situation be resolved as quickly as possible.
