Trip.com Has Not Refunded My $333 AJet Flight Booking
We purchased flight tickets through Trip.com for a September 3 flight from Istanbul to Amsterdam operated by AJet, paying a total of approximately $333. Due to my father's illness, we had to cancel the tickets. AJet confirmed that it had transferred the payment to Trip.com and agreed that we would receive a full refund without any deductions. Our refund process began on September 1.
This process has been ongoing for nearly two months. During this time, I lost my father. While coping with his death and this extremely difficult period, I have also had to spend every day trying to get my refund. Whenever I contacted customer service, I was told the issue was with AJet, but AJet confirmed that it had already transferred the money. I called Trip.com approximately 20 times. Each time, I received a different explanation and was repeatedly put off. Eventually, I was told that the refund had been initiated and later that the money had been refunded.
The “Cancellation Details” section of the Trip.com app also states that the payment was refunded to my Mastercard credit card and even displays an ARN code as proof. Despite this, no refund has appeared in my bank account or on my card. During my most recent contact with customer service, I was again told that the refund had been processed, but I still have not received any money.
The personal loss I have suffered, combined with nearly two months of dealing with this unresolved issue, has left me in an extremely difficult situation. I demand that Trip.com refund the full ticket amount of approximately $333, which AJet transferred to the company, to the Mastercard card identified as the refund destination, without any deductions and as soon as possible.
