TransferGo Delayed My €12,800 Transfers and Put My Son’s Visa at Risk

On August 1, 2025, I used TransferGo to make two critical transfers for my son’s education and visa application in Germany: €12,000 (the required guarantee amount for his visa) and €800 (his language school enrollment fee). TransferGo stated that both payments would be completed by August 4. However, after 12 days, a total of €12,800 has still not been delivered, and this delay is putting my son’s visa application and education plans at serious risk.

The timeline is as follows:

On August 2, I was asked a security question, which I answered immediately.

On August 5, the transfer still hadn’t gone through, and I contacted support again. Another security question was asked on August 6, which I also answered. The only response I got was “waiting for verification.”

As of August 13, no transfer has been completed.

Throughout this period, I have contacted TransferGo multiple times through the in-app help section and by email, only to receive vague “please wait” replies. I was also told that complaints in Turkey should be directed to Moka United Ödeme Hizmetleri ve Elektronik Para Kuruluşu A.Ş., which I did by sending all required documents. However, there has still been no resolution.

My transfers were made via account TG12849945, with Moka United Ödeme Hizmetleri ve Elektronik Para Kuruluşu A.Ş. listed as the recipient and Fibabanka A.Ş. as the bank. I submitted all identification and verification documents correctly, and they were confirmed. The transfers were supposed to be free of charge since these were my first two transactions.

Because of this delay, my son’s visa application has been set back nearly two weeks, and he now risks missing the start of his language program. Our education plans are collapsing, and our stress and financial loss are increasing every day. I have also seen similar complaints from other users, which raises further concerns about this service.

I demand that TransferGo immediately complete my €12,800 transfers without further delay and take responsibility for the severe inconvenience caused. I also expect compensation for the hardship and disruption this delay has caused my family.
