I visited a Tmall store and selected a corner sofa that I really liked from their in-store display. I placed my order based on the fabric and model I saw, with full confidence that what I chose was available. However, shortly afterward, I received a call from the store saying that the fabric I chose is no longer in production because it was imported—and now discontinued.
They offered me two disappointing options: either choose a different model from available stock with a completely different fabric or cancel the order altogether. Why are you showcasing and selling items that you no longer produce? Even worse, they openly admitted, “We list them for sale anyway—you can always cancel later.” That is absolutely unacceptable.
This whole process was a complete waste of my time and energy. I went to the store twice for nothing, rearranged my plans around delivery expectations, and ended up with no product and no clear solution.
