I purchased a concert ticket from Biletix Ticketmaster with insurance, believing it would be refundable in case of unforeseen circumstances. However, I now feel deceived by misleading information on their platform. I strongly warn everyone not to fall for the so-called “insured and refundable” ticket option.
I paid 1,692₺ for the insurance fee thinking I could receive a refund if needed. Due to an unexpected international trip, my spouse and I were unable to attend the concert, so I contacted Biletix to request a refund. They denied any responsibility, claiming that ticket insurance is handled by a third-party company. This was never clearly communicated at the time of purchase.
I followed their instructions, submitted my refund request, and listed my international travel as the reason. The request was rejected because my reason was not considered valid under their vague policy. Apparently, unless I am hospitalized or severely injured, my ticket remains non-refundable, despite the extra fee I paid for insurance.
Biletix and Ticketmaster are directly responsible for this situation. They should clearly state that the insurance only applies if the third-party company approves the reason—which seems nearly impossible. I demand a full refund for my ticket and the insurance fee, as the service I paid for was not honored. I will continue to share this poor customer experience to prevent others from being misled.
