I completed an IQ test on a website I was directed to through a Testora Pro advertisement on Instagram. At the end of the test, I was told that I needed to pay $1 as a one-time fee to see my results, and it clearly stated that this would be the only payment. At no point during the process was there any mention of a subscription, recurring payments, or additional charges that might be applied later. On January 21, 2026, I approved the $1 payment. Afterward, I received an email with access to my test results, and that email also contained no information about any subscription or recurring billing.
A few days later, when I checked my account, I saw a notification that $33 had been charged to my card ending in 6728 by Testora on January 28, 2026, at 11:33 PM. This transaction was made without my knowledge or authorization. I immediately emailed Testora explaining that this payment was unauthorized, that I had never been informed about any subscription, and that I wanted a refund. However, they responded that a refund could not be issued.
During this entire process, I only approved a one-time $1 payment. At no point on the website or in any email were the subscription terms, recurring payment conditions, or the amount of any future charges clearly disclosed, nor was my explicit consent obtained. Despite this, a subscription was started without my knowledge and $33 was charged.
I request that my subscription be immediately and permanently canceled, that my card information be completely removed from their systems, and that the $33 charged without my authorization be fully refunded.
