Tesla Model Y Delivery Delays and Lack of Communication
I met with M.T. on June 12 to purchase a Tesla. I was told that the initial rush was over and that the cars would most likely be delivered by the end of July or possibly the beginning of August. Trusting this, I paid a ₺50,000 deposit, expecting to receive the car by the end of July, and started waiting. June passed, July passed, and now it's August—still no news, no response to emails, and despite calling 10 times a day, no one answers.
A week ago, they postponed the delivery to September and then sent me an email asking me to pay the full amount at the beginning of August. This means they want to take the payment a month in advance and deliver the car a month later. I explained that my money is in a deposit, and I can't withdraw it early, so after waiting for two months, they could wait one week for me to make the payment, especially since the delivery isn't until September 12.
The result? They delayed my order further to September 26, despite me having paid the deposit and made the full payment 15 days in advance. Now I can't even get my deposit back. Schools open on September 9, and I’m without a car. We can't reach M.T. or anyone at Tesla, and we still don't have our car. It's a complete disaster—we're being mistreated despite paying for the car. I’m calling on the authorities: if you can't organize and deliver the car, keep it, but return my deposit. My first action on Monday will be to file complaints with both the ministry and the prosecutor's office. Just so you know.
