My mobile number +254774524*** has been banned on Telegram, and I am currently unable to use the application at all. I am using Telegram version 12.3.1 (63852) on an ITEL itel A665L device with Android SDK 33, and my language setting is English. I first started seeing the “banned” message on February 5, 2026.
The only unusual activity that occurred before the ban was that I accidentally sent a “hello” message to the wrong contact. I was trying to message a user named “Henrik7372,” but I missed one digit, and the message was sent to another user named Henrik. I did not send any additional messages, links, promotional content, or spam. I also did not have any opportunity to apologize or explain the mistake before I believe the recipient may have reported my number as spam.
I have never used Telegram for scams, spam, harassment, or any other abusive behavior. After realizing that my number had been banned, I submitted multiple appeals through your website and also sent an email explaining that I urgently need access to Telegram and that this ban is the result of a misunderstanding. However, I have not received any response so far, and I am currently stranded because I rely heavily on Telegram for my daily communication.
I kindly request that my case be reviewed and that the ban on my number +254774524*** be lifted so I can use Telegram again, either by restoring my previous account or by allowing me to create a new account with this number. I would greatly appreciate it if you could review my activity history, confirm that I only sent a single mistaken “hello” message, and resolve this issue as soon as possible.
