Bitdefender Charged Me After a Free Trial I Could Not Cancel

On February 9, 2026, I registered for the Bitdefender Mobile Security application on an Android device using my email address, n********@gmail.com. At the time of registration, the application advertised a one-week free trial period for the subscription service, which is why I decided to try the product.
However, I was not satisfied with the application and found it unhelpful for my needs. As a result, I decided to remove the app the very next day and cancel the subscription before the free trial period expired.
I spent a significant amount of time attempting to cancel the subscription both through the application itself and through Bitdefender’s website. Despite my efforts, I could not find any clear, functional, or accessible cancellation option. During the seven-day trial period, I also attempted to delete my account entirely in order to prevent any future charges, but that option was unavailable as well. I tried removing my devices from the account, but this did not cancel the subscription either. In short, I could find no effective way to terminate the service before the trial period ended.
Despite my attempts to cancel, I discovered on February 23, 2026, that approximately $15 had been charged to my credit card. I do not believe it is acceptable to collect payment from customers when there is no practical or clearly accessible way to cancel the subscription during the free trial period. Furthermore, after discovering the charge, I contacted Bitdefender by email to explain the situation and request assistance, but I have not received any response.
I am requesting the immediate cancellation of my Bitdefender subscription and a full refund of the approximately $15 charged to my credit card. I also request a written explanation regarding why no functional cancellation method was available during the free trial period and why my support requests have gone unanswered.
I expect this issue to be resolved promptly and fairly, and I ask Bitdefender to ensure that future customers are provided with a transparent and accessible cancellation process.
