I recently downloaded the Telegram app, and almost immediately after creating my account, I started receiving unsolicited messages from strangers. What alarms me the most is that most of these messages are coming from unknown women, and I have absolutely no idea how these people found my phone number. I never shared my number on any public platform, nor did I grant Telegram permission to make my contact details visible to others.
This situation is making me feel incredibly unsafe and uncomfortable. It feels as though someone might have used my number before, or worse, my privacy has been compromised. I just installed the app, so there should be no reason why strangers are able to contact me so quickly and easily.
I am asking Telegram to immediately investigate this privacy issue and explain how my phone number became accessible to unknown users. I also want them to take swift action to protect users from such security vulnerabilities. Please fix this issue immediately and ensure that my personal data is secure. If this problem is not resolved, I will be forced to delete my account and warn others about these risks.
