On June 27, 2024, I opened an account with TEB Bank to take advantage of their zero-interest credit offer. After all the formalities, the customer representative assured me that once I transferred 1 ₺ to TEB Bank's IBAN, I could use the interest-free credit in my account. I made the transfer as instructed, but when I logged into the TEB mobile app, the system notified me that my password was blocked. Despite multiple attempts to reset it using NFC for identity verification, the issue persisted. It turns out there was a planned system issue because there were no problems with my phone or new ID. Even after recalling my known password, I insisted to the customer representative that there must be some mistake. Unfortunately, despite numerous attempts to reset the password, we couldn't resolve it over the phone. The representative confirmed my eligibility for zero-interest credit but insisted I visit a branch to resolve the password issue. The next day, when I visited the TEB Bank branch in Büyükçekmece, the demeanor of the lady there—her negative gestures, glances, and overall attitude—was disappointing. She was unhelpful and outright stated that I wouldn't qualify for interest-free credit without signing certain documents for the password. Her dismissive tone and urgent demands were disheartening. Interestingly, I discovered others at the bank experiencing the exact same password block issue and had filed complaints. Sadly, the same employee had responded harshly to them, even raising her voice. Upon accessing my account, I discovered it only offered credit with interest, leaving me baffled as to how this could happen when they supposedly check credit scores. This crucial detail was never communicated upfront. Unfortunately, I returned home...
