TCL Smart Watch Problem

In January 2023, I purchased a TCL smartwatch for my 10-year-old daughter from Teknosa. She couldn't wear it to school because of the rules, so she mostly wore it on family outings. We kept it safely in its box at home when not in use. While I was at home one day, I received a charging alert from the companion app on my phone, so I plugged it in. I discovered the watch to be overheated and unresponsive about an hour later. We sent it to KVK service via Teknosa, only to receive the following response: "It's a user error, the graphics card is fried, and it's out of warranty." I contended that if my child had caused the problem through rough handling or water damage, I would accept responsibility. However, the problem occurred exactly as I described. We were blamed for the failure of the graphics card in a watch that had barely been used for 8 months. This is a warning to consumers: Choose brands that stand behind their products and act fairly in the event of a malfunction. Be wary of companies that easily shift the blame to the consumer. To top it off, I was told it could be due to sweating, which felt like a slap in the face in terms of product quality. Let this be a lesson to me and others.
