Suzuki Vitara Warranty Fail: Roadside Assistance Debacle
I own a Suzuki Vitara (2018 model) and while driving on the highway with my two children, the car suddenly stalled without any warning. Just 15 days ago, I had taken my car for servicing as part of Suzuki's "Garantim ON’DA" campaign. According to this campaign, vehicles included in the program are entitled to free roadside assistance once a year for repairs covered under the program. The terms state that if there is an authorized service center within the same city, a free towing service is provided up to 60 km. However, when I called the designated number, which supposedly offers free roadside assistance, they claimed they didn't have the authorization and said it would be a paid service. Frustrated, I contacted Suzuki headquarters to file a complaint. They got back to me a few days later, stating that they would only provide free assistance if the breakdown was determined to be covered under the Suzuki warranty, and initially, a paid service would be dispatched. This contradictory response from the Suzuki service center and their failure to adhere to the published terms on their website have left me disappointed. I will be reporting this misleading service and customer inconvenience to the Consumer Rights Authority.
