In SurveyMonkey I uploaded surveys and they don’t allow exporting responses without paying — how can I file a complaint about this?

If SurveyMonkey blocks the export of responses and asks you to pay for a plan, it’s usually because this feature is limited to paid subscriptions.

Even so, if the platform didn’t clearly explain this when you created the survey or the information was confusing, you can file a complaint. Here’s a helpful guide:

• Check your current plan: go to the website, then My Account → Plan and Billing to confirm whether your tier includes exports. Free plans only allow viewing a limited number of responses and do not allow downloads.

• Review the official feature page: You can see which types of exports each plan offers. If the platform displayed features as available without clear warnings, this can support your complaint.

• Contact support: Access the Help Center and select Contact Support.

• Argue lack of sufficient information: explain that the restriction was not clear when you created your survey, and request permission to download the data or, alternatively, an adjustment to your account or another solution.
