SunExpress Canceled Our Flight Without Notice While Reserving a Plane for a Sports Team
I have been stranded in Izmir for three days due to bad weather, waiting for my SunExpress flight. My travel agency booked me on a 6:15 AM flight, but when I arrived at the airport, I was shocked to learn it was canceled—with no email, no message, and no warning. Dozens of passengers were left in the airport with no assistance.
While waiting, I noticed a Kayseri-bound flight on the board, but when I asked about it, I was told it was reserved exclusively for the Göztepe football team. The call center had no record of the flight, yet the airline had apparently allocated an entire plane to a private group while stranding paying customers.
This is unacceptable and a clear case of discriminatory treatment. I was willing to pay for a ticket on the Kayseri flight, but SunExpress refused to sell seats to the public. I have recorded both audio and video evidence of this situation and will not let this go unchallenged. I am filing a legal complaint and demand accountability for this unethical and unfair treatment of passengers.
