I Can’t Check In Online for My Lufthansa–SunExpress Flight

On May 18, 2025, I have a scheduled flight booked with Lufthansa, which includes a leg operated by SunExpress. Despite trying multiple times, I’ve been completely unable to complete online check-in. Both Lufthansa and SunExpress tell me I have to go to the airport to check in, which defeats the entire purpose of having an online system in place.
I purchased my ticket directly through Lufthansa. The booking clearly states that the Munich leg of the flight is operated by Lufthansa, yet Turkish departures are handled by their so-called “partner,” SunExpress. This so-called partnership creates nothing but confusion, and the only ones who suffer are the passengers.
This experience has been stressful and unnecessarily complicated. Lufthansa, if you’re going to rely on SunExpress for Turkish operations, then your systems need to be better integrated. Don’t sell a Lufthansa ticket and then push your customers into chaos with a partner airline that can’t even support online check-in. I will never fly Lufthansa via SunExpress again.
