On September 12, 2024, around 2:00 PM at the Subway branch in Sabiha Gökçen Airport, my non-Turkish-speaking girlfriend wanted to buy coffee. The male employee at the register, assuming I didn’t speak Turkish, made an inappropriate comment, saying, "Is the lady’s coffee ready? The lady is quite sweet, too." I immediately informed him that I understood Turkish and told him to watch his words. I’ve never experienced such behavior anywhere in the world.
