Stradivarius Charged My Card Without My Knowledge

On April 28, 2026 at 20:40 (Turkey time), I received an SMS from my bank in Turkey stating that ₺7,710 had been charged to my credit card on the Stradivarius website. I did not make this purchase, did not place any order and have never shared or stored my card details with Stradivarius. My card information was clearly stolen and used fraudulently through your payment system. I immediately contacted Stradivarius customer service and explained that the order was not mine and that my card had been used without my permission. The only response I received was, “Resolve it through legal channels.” No order cancellation, no shipment hold, no refund and no internal investigation were offered. This attitude is completely unacceptable towards a clear fraud victim. The underlying problem is the lack of effective cardholder verification on your website (such as properly enforced 3D Secure and fraud checks), which allowed my stolen card to be used without any real obstacle. The weakness of your payment security directly enabled this fraudulent transaction. I demand the immediate cancellation of the fraudulent order corresponding to the ₺7,710 transaction, an urgent halt of any shipment or delivery process, and a full refund of ₺7,710 to my credit card without waiting for the bank’s chargeback to conclude. I also request written confirmation by email stating that the order has been cancelled and the refund has been processed, including the relevant order and transaction references. In addition, I expect Stradivarius to share the delivery address, IP address and any contact details used by the fraudster with me and, where legally possible, with the competent authorities to support any investigation. I also request that you urgently review and strengthen payment security measures for customers in Turkey so that similar fraud cannot occur again. I have already blocked my card with my bank and filed a formal chargeback. However, the bank’s process is slow and the fraudulent order may be shipped in the meantime. If Stradivarius does not act swiftly on its own initiative, I will proceed with formal complaints to the Turkish Consumer Arbitration Committee and the Public Prosecutor’s Office under Consumer Protection Law No. 6502.
