GCash Failed to Resolve My Unauthorized ₱699 Starread Payment

I am writing to report an unauthorized payment from my GCash account to Starread Technology Limited in the amount of 699 PHP on 31 October 2026. I did not authorize this transaction, have never subscribed to any service from this merchant, and was not aware of any purchase or subscription linked to them. I only discovered the payment when I checked my GCash transaction history and saw the 699 PHP charge to Starread Technology Limited. I use the GCash app on iOS, and no one else has access to my phone or my GCash credentials. I have never shared my PIN, OTP, or any login information with anyone. Despite this, the payment was processed as if I had authorized it, which is very concerning to me. On 31 October 2026, I contacted GCash support about this issue and was given instructions to try to resolve it. However, the steps they provided do not match what I actually see in the app on my end, so I have been unable to follow their process or fix the problem. My concern remains unresolved even though I have already reached out for assistance. The reference or ticket number for my case is 532800316. I request a full refund of the 699 PHP charged to Starread Technology Limited, as I did not subscribe to or authorize this transaction in any way. I also request a detailed investigation into how this payment was processed without my consent and that my GCash account be fully secured so that similar unauthorized payments cannot occur in the future.
