Snapchat Won’t Let Me Delete My Account Despite Correct Password
On February 25, 2026, around 10:15 p.m., I attempted to permanently delete my Snapchat account using my Android phone. Even though I successfully completed four consecutive security and password verification steps within the app, I was still unable to delete my account.
After completing all the required steps, in the final stage the system incorrectly stated that my password was wrong, even though I entered it correctly, and it refused to allow the account deletion to proceed. Immediately afterward, I was given a restriction telling me to try again after 72 hours. Receiving this error and being forced to wait 72 hours despite entering the correct password caused both a waste of time and a loss of trust in the application.
The email address registered to my Snapchat account is a*********@gmail.com**. I request that my account deletion request be processed immediately without being blocked, that the error incorrectly flagging my password as wrong be fixed, and that the 72-hour restriction be removed so users can delete their accounts whenever they choose without unnecessary obstacles.
