Snapchat Won't Let Me Delete My Account

When I try to permanently delete my Snapchat account from within the app on my Galaxy S25, I get a message with no additional explanation telling me to try again after 72 hours. I've only attempted to delete my account once, and because of this prompt I haven't been able to complete the process.
I have no active subscriptions, no pending payments, and no security issues on my account — so being unable to close it immediately, with zero explanation as to why, is genuinely frustrating. As a user, I expect to be able to permanently delete my account whenever I choose, and I expect the process to be explained transparently.
I am demanding that my account be deleted immediately, and that Snapchat provide a clear, straightforward explanation for why the 72-hour waiting prompt appears when a user tries to delete their account from within the app.
