I have been a Smule VIP subscriber for nearly 10 years—a respectful user who follows the rules. However, today I discovered that my account with the username y* was frozen without any reason or notification.
I have personally seen groups or “cliques” within the app coordinate mass reports to get accounts shut down, and I believe my account was unfairly frozen in the same way. Even so, I was not sent any warning, explanation, or email. As a long-time user who has consistently paid for VIP, this has been extremely disappointing.
When I contacted support, I was told my account would be investigated and that my full name needed to be written exactly, but so far I have not received any clear solution or explanation. I request that Smule clearly explain the specific reason my account was frozen, re-review this decision in detail, and immediately restore my account if the action was unjustified.
I also ask that my account—where I have invested years of effort and money—not be shut down based on coordinated, malicious mass reporting, and that Smule implement a permanent safeguard against this kind of organized abuse.
