Sebamed Baby Sunscreen Didn't Prevent Severe Sunburn

On June 28, 2026, my family and I used Sebamed Baby Sunscreen while spending the day at Kerpe Beach in Kocaeli. We applied the sunscreen generously according to the instructions, waited about 20 minutes before going into the sun, and reapplied it regularly throughout the day. Despite following the directions carefully, both our child and the adults in our family suffered significant sunburns.
We purchased the sunscreen from a pharmacy and paid a higher price specifically to ensure we were getting a genuine, properly stored product that was not expired or defective. At the time of purchase, we were told that the product had a long remaining shelf life and was suitable for babies as well as the entire family. We still have both the product information and the purchase receipt.
Because of this experience, I request that Sebamed investigate the Sebamed Baby Sunscreen we purchased, including the specific production batch if necessary. If the investigation identifies a product issue, I ask that appropriate action be taken, including recalling the product if warranted. I also request reimbursement for the medical expenses and other costs we have incurred as a result of the sunburns and related health issues.
