I applied Sebamed sunscreen to my 3-year-old son before taking him to the beach, trusting the product because it’s widely marketed as safe and effective—especially for babies and children with fair skin. I followed all instructions and even reapplied the sunscreen 7–8 times throughout the day, as recommended.
Despite all my efforts, my son came home severely sunburned and in pain. His skin turned bright red, and he cried all night in discomfort. I had to apply yogurt and continue treating the burn just to ease his pain. As a parent, this experience was heartbreaking and deeply frustrating.
I chose Sebamed because I believed it was one of the best sunscreens for children, but what we experienced says otherwise. I urge the company to thoroughly review this product’s effectiveness, especially for sensitive and fair-skinned children. This level of failure is unacceptable. I want an explanation and an assurance that proper testing and quality control are in place. No parent should go through what we did.
