On February 25, 2024, during my Scat Airlines Istanbul–Almaty flight, I requested to purchase a front-row seat, as was clearly offered as an extra service. When I asked to pay, the crew informed me that only Kazakhstani tenge or credit card payments were accepted. I explained that I could pay in US dollars, but this was refused without offering a proper solution.
At that point, a person who introduced himself as Casio Air Service Oversight Manager, M***** S**** E***, approached me in the cabin and, in front of all the passengers, rudely ordered me to stand up. When I asked, “Who are you to give me orders?” he disrespectfully replied, “I give the orders.” This was an unacceptable display of arrogance and disrespect toward a paying customer.
I have never experienced such degrading treatment on an airline before. I intend to report this incident to the civil aviation authority. In addition, I demand a written apology for this humiliating behavior and appropriate disciplinary action against the involved staff.
