On March 8, 2025, I purchased two tickets for the Scat Airlines Istanbul–Shymkent flight, scheduled for 21:40 (Ticket Numbers: 6552101871514 and 6552101871515). Despite receiving a check-in reminder by email on March 7, the flight was canceled without any notification to us. The ticket emails reached me without issue, so clearly, the contact information was correct.
On the day of the flight, during Ramadan, my family and I traveled 2.5 hours to the airport while fasting, only to find the flight canceled. This means we had to drive back home another 2.5 hours and then make the same exhausting trip again on March 10, when we had to reschedule the flight. That’s a total of 10 hours of unnecessary travel.
This situation caused severe emotional and physical distress to my wife, my mother, and especially our one-month-old baby. Worse, this happened on Women’s Day, adding insult to injury. I cannot understand why no cancellation email was sent when your systems had no trouble emailing the tickets and check-in notice.
I demand compensation for our lost time, additional expenses, and emotional stress. Please resolve this within 14 days.
