Samsung M23 5G: Broken Screen, Bad Repair, Wasted Device

November 18, 2023 11:11 AM29

My Samsung M23 5G smartphone recently gave me a nightmare. The touchscreen began to detach from the body, particularly at the top, accounting for approximately 30% of the total. Despite having an active warranty, I decided to send it to the authorized service center rather than intervene. Despite the seller's assurance that the device was covered by a KVK warranty, Samsung Turkey referred me to a service called BDH. While the only issue with the shipment was a cosmetic issue with the screen displacement, the service center held my device for a week. To my surprise, they claimed I had to pay around 2000 TL due to the lack of warranty, alleged broken internal cables (which they failed to inspect), and other questionable charges. Despite the fact that I only sent it in for a screen repair, my phone arrived yesterday and now it won't read the SIM card or connect to Wi-Fi. It's almost worthless! If Samsung endorses such a service, they must answer for it. I'm going to file a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Board, and I'm not going to buy any more Samsung products. Trust is difficult to come by, especially in such an expensive country. They should be ashamed!
