On October 12, 2025, I purchased a Samsung Z Fold 6 from Media Markt, and my device is still under warranty. After installing the latest One UI 8.0 update, I began experiencing a serious software issue. On October 13, 2025, while running two apps (Gemini and Google interface) side by side on the large inner screen, both apps froze, and the screen became completely unresponsive. I was unable to turn off the phone normally and could only restart it by pressing and holding the power and volume down buttons. However, the same issue reoccurred about two hours later.
This problem only started after installing the One UI 8.0 update and happens exclusively when two apps are open simultaneously on the large display. Before the update, I had never encountered this issue. I haven’t installed any third-party software or made any modifications to the device. I also haven’t contacted Samsung technical service or customer support yet.
I expect Samsung to analyze the latest software update and release a fix as soon as possible to permanently resolve this problem.
