Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 Keeps Losing Wi-Fi — Recurring Defect Samsung Won't Fix for Free
Shortly after purchasing my Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, a Wi-Fi failure appeared on the device. Because of that malfunction, my phone was repaired and parts were replaced under warranty. However, the exact same Wi-Fi issue came back about a year ago, and now, for the past week, I've been dealing with the very same problem all over again. The device has never been dropped, impacted, or exposed to any situation that could constitute user error — the problem keeps coming back entirely on its own as a recurring, systemic defect.
I took my device to the Samsung authorized service center in Avcılar for this most recent failure. After their inspection, I was told that this time the issue falls outside of warranty coverage, and I was quoted an extremely high and, in my opinion, completely unreasonable fee of approximately $740. The fact that this same malfunction was previously repaired under warranty — and that there has been zero user error involved — yet it's now being classified as out-of-warranty and priced this high has left me feeling wronged and has seriously shaken my trust in the brand. My device's serial number is RFCW50SVDHY.
I have not yet contacted Samsung customer service directly during this process. Given that the device clearly has a recurring Wi-Fi defect that has nothing to do with user error, I refuse to accept being charged for this repair. I'm requesting that the Wi-Fi malfunction on my device be re-evaluated — taking my prior repair history into account — and that it be repaired free of charge under warranty coverage.
