Remitly & Klarna Blame Shift Leaves Customer Without 603.98€
On October 28, my father, Mustafa Yanmaz, sent 603.98 € through Remitly to a Sparkasse bank account under the name Beyzanur Yanmaz. A 3.99 € service fee was also charged during the transaction. However, the transferred amount never reached the recipient’s bank, and we received no notification regarding the issue.
During this process, we contacted both the bank and the intermediary institution, Klarna. Both organizations stated that the money was not with them and that the transaction was being held by Remitly. Despite contacting Remitly customer service and sending emails, we have not received any satisfactory solution to our problem. Even after 8 business days, the money still has not been returned, and our grievance continues.
We have lost trust in the process, and we demand an immediate refund of our money. If the issue is not resolved, we would like to state that we will exercise our legal rights and take the matter to German courts.
