Ray Insurance Delayed My Bicycle Accident Claim Despite Zero Fault Police Report

On 22.04.2026, while I was riding my bicycle in Alanya, Turkey, I was hit by a motorcyclist insured by Ray Sigorta. According to the official police report prepared after the accident, I was found completely not at fault. Following the accident, I opened a compulsory traffic insurance claim with Ray Sigorta, but the entire handling of the process has been problematic, confusing, and highly unsatisfactory.

On 24.04.2026, after receiving the official police documents, I submitted my insurance claim to Ray Sigorta. On 25.04.2026, I personally visited SERHAN EKSPERTİZ and delivered all accident-related documents required for the claim process. Then, on 27.04.2026, I personally presented my bicycle together with all damaged items for physical inspection and expert review. On 28.04.2026, I contacted the expert again to ask whether any additional information or documents were still needed from my side. Later, on 09.05.2026, I once again tried to contact Ray Sigorta through the company website and other communication channels to request an update regarding the progress of my file.

Despite my complete cooperation at every stage of the process, the claim experience has been extremely frustrating. The online claim system did not function properly, my file was initially created with incorrect personal details, and even after weeks of waiting I still have not received clear information regarding the current claim status, approval process, or expected payment date.

The officially documented damage amount for my bicycle alone, according to the service assessment report, is approximately $10,190. In addition to the bicycle damage, there are also several other damaged personal items that were presented during inspection and supported with documents and photographs.

My Ray Sigorta claim file number is 11222600684. My expectations from Ray Sigorta are very clear: I request full and fair compensation for my bicycle and all damaged items, immediate correction of the incorrect personal details in my file, transparent written information regarding the current status of the claim and any remaining required documents, and a clear explanation regarding the payment decision together with a concrete payment timeline.

I also expect proper communication, professional handling of my compulsory traffic insurance claim, and a prompt resolution without any further unnecessary delays.

Today is May 13. I provided all the information on April 27. So far, nothing has changed. 1. My first and last name are still listed with a typo. 2. Because of this, I cannot enter my IBAN number into my personal account. 3. The company has not responded to any of my emails. I am a foreign national. My vacation was ruined because of this accident. I suffered significant financial losses. I did not expect such neglect from the company. Everything is nicely explained on the website, but in reality: - The forms on the website do not work - There is no proper support - All questions submitted through the contact forms are ignored I cannot call; I have already returned home and I do not speak Turkish. I am very disappointed with the quality of this company's service. I have already returned home – all my contact details are with you – please get in touch with me and resolve the insurance claim.

Your website is terrible! I can't access my file! I'm a foreign citizen. You registered the file using my passport number. When ı ENTER the passport number, your system finds the file. However, when ı click the "Login" button, it returns an error and requires 10/11 characters of the TCKN/VKN. My passport has 9 digits!

I ENTER my passport number and Case number, and it displays my first and last name (still incorrect—they haven't fixed it in over a month). But when I click the "Login" button, it displays an error. "The Turkish ID number must be 11 digits, Tax number must be 10 digits." But they opened a Case based on my passport number, which has 9 characters...
