Protherm Charges A Service Fee For Gepard Condens Combi Boilers Within Warranty
I called the service because the Protherm Gepard Condens combi boiler, which I started using in January, was making a "pop" sound when it started igniting. The service said to record the voice and send it. Somehow (by chance in the middle of the night) I was able to record the sound. I sent it via WhatsApp. They came and made an adjustment to the pump and that sound stopped. But after a while, I noticed that when I turn the hot water on and off, it makes a similar sound. I called again. They did not tell me to record the voice and send it. But before arriving, they said that if the problem is due to usage, we will charge a service fee. They said it might be from the plumbing. I was sure it was caused by the combi boiler. Then they came and said that this sound was normal and charged a service fee without even making any adjustments. And I said, "It works explosively," and that's why it had to come. But I never said, "it works explosively". What I said was "The hot water was making a popping sound when I turned it on and off." Why didn't they ask for an audio recording like before? Getting 650 TL shouldn't be this easy. Moreover, it is incredibly bad that they charge a service fee for a product that is still under warranty. Additionally, the product operates very loudly. I've been using Apple for years. They even repaired a product whose warranty had already expired, free of charge if necessary. It seems like Proterm has found a way to make money easily. It's a truly pathetic situation. I do not recommend anyone to buy this product. Does DemirDöküm stand behind this?
